From April 15th to June 5th 2022 guided trips on Lake Huron and Inland Lakes will be offered. Depending on the specific time of year, there are opportunities to catch Pike of a lifetime. This is a great time to go fishing for giant, aggressive fish. Although we are targeting Pike, the odd Trophy Bowfin is caught as well.
Lake Huron - During the spring on Lake Huron, many species of fish begin to move from deep to shallow water in order to feed heavily on Baitfish, Perch, Crawfish and Gobys. Pike have a specific tendency to swim up shallow to feed heavily at this time of the year. The Pike that swim in Lake Huron are undoubtedly trophy sized Pike with many opportunities to catch the biggest Pike of your life. The Pike are always on the move this time of year, but no mater where we find ourselves catching these beautiful fish, there is stunning scenery at every angle.
The Bruce Peninsula has many beautiful inland lakes to choose from. Here at Fish the Bruce, we have worked hard to find the best bites for certain times of the spring season. To give you an idea of the lakes we offer spring guiding opportunities on, review the details below.
Bruce Peninsula Inland Lakes -The lakes we offer are very diverse. They can range from medium depth, and ultra shallow fishing opportunities. During the spring the most plentiful and aggressive fish to target are Pike. The vast majority of the Pike are close to shore ambushing Baitfish, Perch, Frogs and Crayfish against various structures such as wood, rock and vegetation. Our local inland lakes lake are fair sized, yet small enough to move from spot to spot easily until we find fish that are ready to bite. The Pike in these lake can get very large due to the extremely healthy ecosystem they live in. Surrounding these lakes are beautiful wetlands and acres of forest.
